The Art of Resistance

    In  Turkey,  the peaceful sit-in protest against the demolition of Gezi Park for the construction of a shopping mall in Istanbul has quickly turned into anti-government protests. The  police's  excessive force (lots and lots of tear gas and water cannons) could not have stopped the joining protesters
 
    Humour and creative street writings  have been the important (or should i say primary) "weapons" for the protestors.

     Various websites show different amounts of this humour. One of them is #direnduvar (resistwall) which show us in a creative way the street writings from all around Turkey.
